Another Minecraft submission!
I'm always coming up with great ideas for Minecraft-related deviations. This time I wanted to do Herobrine.
According to the legend he is Notch's dead brother, who haunts players of the game. He usually holds a diamond pickaxe, and leaves a path of destruction wherever he goes. Don't worry, Herobrine is just a myth, and isn't really part of the game. But there are mods that will add this terrifying creature to your worlds.
Anyway, just wanted to give you a little background info.
About the deviation, I wanted to make it seem he was leaving a trail of fire wherever he walked, burning down the forest which he was in. His eyes are glowing bright and the sky is a deep red to reflect his presence.
As always, I'm proud of how this turned out.
Except for some jaggedness around and in the leaves on the trees. Hopefully it isn't that noticable
. It really can only be seen when you're viewing it at full size.
The screenshot was taken in Minecraft 1.3.2 and edited heavily in GIMP 2.6.11, and I did use quite a few mods and server plugins to get this scene:
Minecraft Forge - A dependency required by some of the mods listed below. [link]
OptiFine - Increased render distance and a few other visual tweaks. [link]
MineShot - High-resolution, anti-aliased screenshots. [link]
Essentials - Made things easier while setting up the scene. [link]
Citizens - Creates NPCs (Non-Player Characters), used to "summon" Herobrine. [link]
WorldEdit - Used to generate trees, extinguish fires, change biomes, etc. [link]
The clouds came from here: [link]
Don't hesitate to leave your honest opinion in the comments!
I'm always improving myself. If you like this, go check out the other deviations in my gallery, and watch me, lend a llama and/or donate some points to show your appreciation.
UPDATE: Tried my best to edit out a dirt block in the ground which ended up annoying the crap out of me.
